Canes Midstream is committed to protecting the environment and recognizes the importance of being a prudent and responsible operator. In addition to compliance with all federal and state emissions management requirements, we focus on proactively lowering our carbon intensity to meet our mission of connecting energy producers with their customers, while minimizing impact to the environments in which we work and live.
Our operating and design practices incorporate environmental planning as a key element, and we utilize environmentally conscious equipment where feasible. Examples of such proactive environmental management include:
- Utilizing electric driven compression
- Installing low bleed pneumatic controllers in new compressor stations
- Conducting proactive leak detection and repair inspections using advanced leak detection techniques such as Optical Gas Imaging (OGI)
In addition to emissions management, we recognize the importance of biodiversity and seek to avoid or minimize impact to the natural resources adjacent to our assets. Our efforts focus on protecting native species and their natural habitats and employing risk mitigation measures to minimize the impact of any uncontrolled release.
